In 2018, Ouro Preto hired Catavento to review its strategic plan for the next two years.
The project was conducted in two stages. In the first, an assessment of the business context, both international and local, was done based on a trend analysis, interviews with executives from Ouro Preto and experts from the oil and gas sector. The second stage was focused on the elaboration of the company’s SWOT matrix, through a process that included the Executive Board and the members of the Company’s Board of Directors.
The project had the effective participation of Ouro Preto’s leadership, essential for the final result success.
About Ouro Preto
Ouro Preto Óleo e Gás is a Brazilian Company founded in 2010, whose mission is to be an integrated energy company focusing on the exploration and production of oil and natural gas. With a highly qualified team, consisting of geologists, geophysicists and engineers, it aims to identify exploration opportunities in the blocks auctioned by the ANP – National Petroleum, Natural Gas and Biofuels Agency. It also evaluates the possibility of acquiring assets through farm-in operations (the partial or total acquisition of concession rights held by other companies).
In its projects, the Company uses cutting-edge technology, capable of obtaining the best possible performance from its assets and minimizing the risks inherent to its activities. Currently, Ouro Preto holds exploration rights over 15 blocks and 4 fields. The blocks, comprising a total area of 19,475,3Km2, are located in the Parnaíba, Barreirinhas and Recôncavo Basins. The fields are situated in the Potiguar, Camamu and Espírito Santo Basins and two of them are in production (Pescada/Arabaiana – Rio Grande do Norte – and Camarupim – Espírito Santo) and the other two are in development (Camarão and Pinaúna – Bahia).
