Adapted from the chapter written for the book Proposals for the Government 2015/2018, Catavento presented opportunities and challenges for sustainable growth in Brazil. The work was separated into three main parts and includes global aging trends, consequent pressure on natural resources, new metrics available to measure the progress of countries, and finally opportunities for Brazil in line with contemporary demands. We created a text bridging the issues related to sustainability and the main opportunities that Brazil could take advantage of, focusing on its comparative and competitive advantages in a context where natural and human capital are valued appropriately.
