Since 2019, the investment manager Indie Capital has been integrating ESG (environmental, social and governance) factors in its asset analysis process. In this sense, it hired Catavento in 2020 to be part of its ESG Committee as an independent member. Clarissa Lins, founding partner at Catavento, with the support of the senior partner Bruna Mascotte, participates in meetings with the analysts and portfolio managers every two months.

The meetings objective is to evaluate the level of adherence of companies to ESG best practices, namely related to the material issues for each business model. Also, the Committee assesses the executive attitude towards the company performance, mainly based on the recognition of the most relevant ESG topics, the level of transparency on KPIs and targets, and historical data.

Catavento’s participation in Indie’s ESG Committee aims to bring a technical view with renowned ESG expertise to the asset manager investment analysis process.
