The Project

In order to support its strategic planning process in Brazil, the local TechnipFMC team hired Catavento to conduct a study and presentation for the leadership on trends in ESG and digital transformation.

The first phase of the project was based on the mapping of publicly-available sources, including analyses, articles and news relevant to each of the themes. Also, alignment meetings with various local teams in the company and the Country Manager were conducted in order to map expectations and objectives of the presentation. Lastly, Catavento conducted a workshop with the leadership of TechnipFMC in Brazil on the selected topics.

Regarding the ESG agenda, issues such as the growing relevance of the environmental, social and governance topics for companies were addressed, as well as the response to the demands of investors, governments and civil society. Furthermore, the study explored the relevance of climate change and the energy transition for the O&G sector and the strategy of different companies in this context. The presentation was led by Clarissa Lins and Guilherme Ferreira.

Concerning digital transformation, the presentation focused on the fundamental concepts related to the digitization of operations and corporate processes, the maturity of the O&G sector in the implementation of such initiatives, the Brazilian scenario and the need for resilience in the face of cyber threats. This presentation was led by Clarissa Lins and Bruna Mascotte.

The presentations were followed by a Q&A session with the company’s Brazil leadership team, including reflections on the opportunities and challenges of the ESG and digital transformation agenda for TechnipFMC’s businesses in Brazil.
