Carbon markets can be regulated or voluntary. These last ones, where companies trade certificates of 1 tonne of CO2e reduced or removed from the atmosphere, can have a relevant role in a transition to a low carbon economy. The credits can be generated via technological or nature-based projects, in a market that has been growing in the last years. There are, nevertheless, critical attention points for corporations.
