In 2022, Catavento, in partnership with a global management consultancy, was hired to support Itaú in its net zero strategy. The project aimed at refining the institution’s climate positioning, prioritizing the Bank’s initiatives, assessing the implications of commitments in the portfolio and analyzing the decarbonization paths of critical sectors.
In the project, Catavento contributed with its local expertise on the opportunities and challenges of the Brazilian transition to a low-carbon economy, and potential impacts on different economic sectors.
Itaú is the largest Brazilian private bank in market value and the most valuable brand in the country, valued at R$36.5 billion, according to the Brand DX ranking. The Itaú Unibanco holding integrates different types of banking activity into a complete and universal bank, and provide a wide range of financial products and services to a diversified base of individual and corporate clients, in Brazil and abroad.
